Over 70 Rivers Edge Property Owners and members from real estate sales shared in an afternoon and evening of fun in July. Everyone enjoyed dinner at the clubhouse after a 9-hole golf tournament on the Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course.
Rivers Edge Golf Club and Plantation is proud to introduce Bobby McCimmon as our new Director of Golf.
After receiving his B.A. in Business Management from Appalachian State University, Bobby began his career as a Retail Manager and Corporate trainer. He learned very quickly the importance of two way communication and providing outstanding customer service. After 20 years in retail management he decided to move to the Grand Strand and pursue his passion of golf.
Bobby started his golf career at Myrtle Beach National Golf Club as a first assistant and began his pursuit of becoming a PGA Class A Professional. He then had the opportunity to perfect his knowledge of the golf swing and became Director of Instruction at Direct Approach Golf School. He gave instruction to juniors and adults of all ages from beginners to the more accomplished players. He has been very involved in junior golf and has acted as the Chapter Director of the South Carolina Junior Golf Association for Georgetown and Horry Counties for three years. He was also the swing coach for several high school teams in the area. He has conducted hundreds of clinics , private lessons and on course instruction for adults of all abilities. His extensive knowledge of the golf swing, clubfitting and video analysis will help you take your game to the next level.
Bobby most recently acted as a Lead Golf Instructor at Dresser Golf Academy which is ranked by Golf Magazine as one of the top 25 golf schools in America. He received his Class A PGA status, and has furthered his education by becoming a Certified Professional in the following areas: Golf Operations, Retail, General Management and Instruction. Less than 2% of 30,000 PGA Professionals acquire these designations.
Bobby is very excited about this opportunity as Director of Golf at Rivers Edge Golf Club. He looks forward to welcoming you to a great golfing experience at our club.
As significant development work continues in the Fairway Crossing neighborhood of Rivers Edge, so is home construction throughout the community. Three new homes are currently under construction, with several more in the design process. The Strunk residence is taking shape beautifully with recently installed siding and roofing, and it will be ready for “hard hat tours” during our Summer Homecoming Celebration on July 24th. You can be among the first to walk through this home and others under construction.
Mark Saunders Luxury Homes® is well underway with the construction of the very first home in the Fairway Crossing neighborhood, near the 11th fairway of the Rivers Edge Arnold Palmer Golf Course, for the Strunk family.
A second home by Mark Saunders Luxury Homes is also under construction for the DeMuro family on Emerald Valley Drive, between the 2nd and 3rd fairways. The Strunk and DeMuro homes are both examples of Signature Home Designs by Mark Saunders Luxury Homes for Rivers Edge. Signature Home Designs, featuring open floor plans, gracious outdoor living areas, luxurious appointments, and timeless architecture, are an exceptional value for anyone interested in building a custom home soon.
Just bumped into this video from a few years ago and thought it was worth sharing. The producers of the video wrote: “This Arnold Palmer signature design has become one of the most highly acclaimed courses in the Carolinas. Ranked among ‘America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses’ in 2005 by Golf Digest, Rivers Edge is situated along breathtaking bluffs overlooking the Shallotte River. In 2003, Golf Digest ranked it in the ‘Top 20 Courses in North Carolina’ and awarded it 4.5 STARS in their guide to ‘Places to Play in America’. Also GolfWeek ranked it #5 in North Carolina. Exceptional design, condition and service add to the enjoyment of playing at Rivers Edge.”
