Just bumped into this video from a few years ago and thought it was worth sharing. The producers of the video wrote: “This Arnold Palmer signature design has become one of the most highly acclaimed courses in the Carolinas. Mark your calendar because Saturday, November 14th all owners in Rivers Edge Golf Club & Plantation are invited to our Coastal Autumn Celebration. The property owner social will be held from Noon until 2pm at the Gazebo between the Golf Clubhouse and Bluff Townhomes. Your onsite real estate sales team and the wonderful kitchen staff of the Rivers Edge club house will be serving complimentary beverages, hot dogs, hamburgers, and all the sides.

Please join us for the festivities with your neighbors and take advantage of numerous incentives local businesses have given us to share with you. Come and enjoy refreshments and the good company of friends and neighbors!

Members Welcome Back Play

On July 31st the residents of Rivers Edge Golf Club and Plantation celebrated the re-opening of the golf course with an all day celebration that included a putting contest, lunch, a great round of golf, and ended with a members dinner at the club. The initial “first round of golf” turned into an all day celebration which is only fitting knowing the residents of this community!

Welcome back golfers, you will be very pleased with the improvements made to the course.

The Golf Course is Looking Great!

On August 1, 2009 play will resume on the Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course after being closed for two months to upgrade all of its greens. Rivers Edge Golf continues to provide one of the most scenic and if you are playing from the back, one of the most challenging golf courses in the country. Did you know that Rivers Edge was featured in the 2007 rankings from Golf Digest listing Rivers Edge as the 62nd best public golf course to play in the United States?

Rivers Edge decided to replace its greens to improve the quality of play on this prestigious golf course. For those interested, the new type of grass being used on our greens is called Seashore Paspalum. It is a southeastern coastal grass that does very well in areas where water is high in salinity. This grass will be perfect for all of our greens because of our location just two miles from the Atlantic Ocean and especially for the seven holes located directly on the tidal waters of the Shallotte River.

The GOLF COURSE IS LOOKING GREAT so take the time to come and see us and enjoy a round on one of the most unique golfing experiences you will ever have the privilege of playing.
